Kris, are these all unlimited user ebooks? or a mixture of one user, three user and unlimited?

When possible, we purchase ebook copies of texts. They're not always available, which is a good conversation to have with faculty about why.

Right @Devin. I think it’s good for Library to be engaging bookstore early in these discussions.

I'm not sure about the money portion of opting out, but I know we have a struggle with faculty not actually making the opt out option available in their courses

We are changing bookstore vendors this summer so whatever we do this summer, may change in the future, depending on the vendor

Anyone know of a good Collection Weeding for Dummies resources? Particularly around time and money investment in the process. Also has anyone worked with a reputable rare book person/dealer?

Kris, we did a big weeding project a few years back. I can share our procedures with you. Faculty input + circulation data was our general approach.

Yes, 50% has been hard. It's also been a good reminder of how much truly unuseful items we had from the times when collection size was important.
