Speaking as someone in a non-Librarian library management position--our Faculty Librarian isn't able to report to me, so we work side by side and both report directly to our VP of Student Services.

We are a private institution and so far, no plans to require

There is a push/incentive program to get campus 85% vaccinated
Heather Jagman (she/her)

DePaul is requiring students be vaccinated, waiting to hear about requirements for faculty/staff.
Rebecca Donald

We're private and won't be requiring vaccines
Cynthia Wolf

I'm at McHenry County College, and there are no plans to require vaccines. Masks are not required on campus for those fully vaccinated, and we're on the honor system.
Aimee Walker, Joliet Junior College
36:42
We are continuing to require masks on campus but no word on vaccine requirements yet, however the college is planning to offer a vaccine clinic for interested students.
Ashtin Trimble

At BHC, no requirement for vaccines. However, it sounds like if enough of us report that we've been vaccinated, some of our workplace restrictions may be lifted. Still requiring masks for everyone.

North Central is a private institution, and we currently are not requiring vaccinations. However, our administration is waiting on making that decision until closer to fall.
Amanda Pippitt (Millikin; she/her)
37:21
I think the concern with our administration in requiring it is partly that we are not a prestigious enough school to demand it and still get the incoming numbers we are trying for
Andrew Lenaghn

At Lewis University, in Romeoville IL (30mins south of Chicago) we are requiring vaccinations for the Fall. So far, that’s the only information we’ve been given. More is expected about exemptions as we get closer to August.

Announcements at the beginning, an agenda, and then space for open discussions at the end?
Rebecca Donald
40:38
I have enjoyed the open format. I was thinking like Tammy - maybe just less frequent if there's not the urgent Covid issues to discuss
Aimee Walker, Joliet Junior College
41:15
I agree with Tammy. I like the idea of having a discussion starter topic, but also the ability to bring up something of interest that may fall outside the topic.

I feel like I'm still recovering from finals, but we'll be gearing up for our next phase of re-opening soon, and will probably have many questions! I've really appreciated these meetings and hope they can continue.

We do appreciate the meetings

I have appreciated being able to discuss non-Covid things as well, so it would be nice to continue
Patricia Tomczak
46:03
I too, enjoyed these meetings to discuss COVID and not-COVID issues, especially with the move to ALMA this year--I think it would be good to continue at least once a month.

Our group study rooms had been single use only, but we're allowing groups again now

Some may be office spaces for my staff that once shared a space.

They are starting to reduce the "deep cleaning" at our University after the reports that surface transmission isn't a big concern
Tracy Conner (she/her) - Kankakee Community College
51:40
Ours have been single use, and will continue to be during the summer, but I have a feeling we might be back to group use for fall...maybe? We have clustered some seating out in our open spaces that we are using for groups right now. We have also lowered some of our cleaning of surfaces after every use as surface transmission doesn't seem to be causing much spread
