Improve Health with Your Food Pantry session description/objectives:
What we eat affects our health in many ways. Healthy eating plays a role in preventing and managing diseases like diabetes, high blood pressure, and many others. While food insecurity can make healthy eating difficult, food pantries have the opportunity to promote health in their communities. Updated guidelines were released in March 2020 to provide more direction on what foods are healthy choices for food pantry guests. In this webinar, you will learn about how food insecurity impacts health and how to support better health for food pantry guests in your community using the latest nutrition information.
This program will be recorded. If your video is shared during the webinar, it will be shown in the recording that is available to all who registered. This institution is an equal opportunity provider. This material funded by the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program - SNAP. If you need a reasonable accommodation to participate in this program, please contact email@example.com. Early requests are strongly encouraged to allow sufficient time for meeting your access needs.
